Jessica Gauchel is a Health Counselor, certified by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Smith College and a Masters Degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Psychology at Harvard University’s School of Extension Studies. Jessica is a board certified member of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. She has completed trainings in Allergy Release Technique, Tapas Acupressure Technique, and is a certified Level II Reiki practitioner.
Jessica has a broad interest base. Her studies have focused around her belief that healing and wellness require a holistic, whole-body, functional health approach. Just a few of her areas of study are: the association of chemical and food sensitivities with addiction and with treatment resistant mood disorder; the role of meditation in amelioration of treatment resistant mood disorder; homeopathy-based meridian work for clearing reactivity and improving balance; and yoga and other mindfulness-based body work for clearing trauma and grief. Jessica has lectured in the Boston Area at Tufts University and at various Whole Foods locations on topics including sugar addiction, benefits of and approaches to dietary elimination and cleansing, and food as an issue of social justice. She served for several years as a hotline crisis counselor.
